Email Services

Email Services section allows you to set up and manage Email Forwarding or configure MX records.

To enable the Advanced DNS Manager so that you can access the Email Services section, complete the following steps.

  1. Log in to your profile.
  2. Click Account Management > My Domains under the menu tabs.
  3. Under My Domains, click the domain that you want to manage.
  4. Click on "Email Services" link on the Manage Domain page.
  5. If this is your first time using the Advanced DNS Manager, you will have to enable the service first. Click Enable DNS Manager, and your nameservers will be automatically set to those required by the system. Please note that this process may take a moment to reach the Email Services page.
  6. Once the service has been enabled, you will be presented with the Email Service selection interface where you can choose Forwarding or User (MX).

Result:

User(MX records):

  1. In this section, you can setup MX records.
  2. Hostname is '@': signifies your domain name alone without anything in front of it. eg: yourdomain.com
  3. In the Address area, you can specify either a name under domain name (for example, "mail3. worldbook.info .") or the name of a mail server (for example, "mail.yahoo.com.").
  4. MX Pref specify MX server priority. If there are multiple MX records, lower the MX Pref number has higher priority.

Email Forwarding:

  1. In this section, you can create specific addresses at your domain name and forward them to other email addresses that you own.
  2. Username is the name of the mailbox at your domain name. eg: 'info' is the mailbox info@yourdomain.com
  3. Forward To specifies the email address that you would like to forward this mailbox to. eg: 'you@gmail.com' will forward any email addressed to this username will go to your mailbox you@gmail.com

Notes:

In order for this feature to work, your domain name must be pointing to the correct name servers as listed. Note email forwarding is not a very reliable method to receive emails. The recipient mailserver may delay or block delivery of an email where the sender may not receive any notice about the unsuccessful delivery.
